POWER PLANTS

Brighton is one of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of power generation plant and machinery in China and its surrounding countries. Brighton provides first-class services in all aspects of the power generation industry; namely, project development, design, construction, operation and after sales services. Incorporated in Brighton's major product lines are:

Coal-Fired Steam Power Plant;
Hydro Power Plant;
Gas-Turbine Power Plant;
Nuclear Power Plant.

The power generating equipment industry in China for the coal-fired steam power stations was introduced and established by the Russians in the early 1950's. Since then, the Chinese government developed their own manufacturing capability by establishing additional production bases throughout China. Today, the industrial sector is capable of producing power generating equipment for small to medium size power stations; specifically, these power stations have the single unit for power generation capacity of 50, 150, 300 and 600 MW. For the larger ones, such as 1000 MW and even 1200 MW, the Chinese manufacturers typically would cooperate with foreign vendors, such as Siemens, GE, Mitsubishi, etc; as their respective partners in bidding on the projects.

For the nuclear power stations, the Chinese manufacturers would need to cooperate with foreign manufacturers by licensing the technology and to seek manufacturing assistance from the above - referred same entities or cooperating partners. The capacity for such nuclear power stations would be starting from 300 MW to 600 MW per operating unit or even as large as 1000 MW per unit.

For the export markets, the Chinese manufacturers exported quite a few number of 50 MW power plants to third world countries. Recently, there was a few of up to 300 MW power plants that were exported.
